An estimated half a million Christians live in Kuwait today and they come from an almost bewildering array of traditions and denominations. Christians have been entwined in the history of Kuwait throughout her progression from a subsistence economy to becoming on of the richest states in the world.

The author - the Reverend Andrew Thompson is the Chaplain at St Paul's Anglican Church Kuwait. He holds degrees in Behavioural Sciences and Islamic Studies. He trained for the ministry in Oxford and has lived and traveled in the Middle East and the Gulf for over ten years.
