Julia Lewis, wife of Our former Bishop of our Diocese

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the death of Julia Lewis, MHDSRIP, beloved wife of The Right Reverend Michael Lewis, former Bishop of our Diocese and Archbishop of our Province. Julia passed away peacefully at the General Hospital in Nicosia in the early hours of the morn of 23/10/2025. Our kind thoughts and prayers are with Bishop Michael and the family.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. Lamuel Kaleem (Warden of our Urdu Congregation) on the night of 19th Oct 2025. MHDSRIP. Mr Lamuel was a very long-serving member of the Pakistan Urdu Congregation. He used to come to some of our joint PCC meetings as Warden and attend most of our special events. He leaves behind his wife Tabetha and son. We pray for his family and the congregation. May the Almighty God keep him in paradise. 🙏

Maude Nellena Bailey

19 June, 1945 – 28 August, 2025

We at St Paul’s Anglican church are deeply saddened to hear about the passing on of one of our long-term members, Mrs. Maude Bailey at her hometown in Canada.

She will be remembered for her dedication to St.Paul’s Anglican Church – Kuwait whilst she and her beloved husband Lloyd (erstwhile Warden of the church) were in Kuwait for a long long time. A great humble lady, always full of life and ever ready to do any task in the church. Beyond retirement in Canada, her heart and that of Lloyd, remained connected to St Paul’s. May the Almighty God grant her soul eternal rest in His Kingdom. Our heartfelt condolences to her husband Lloyd and families close to her. 🙏

Prof. VINCENT OLUBUNMI ROTIMI

St. Paul’s church – Kuwait sadly notes the passing on of our staunchest members since 30 years. (on 12/07/2023).

We remember Prof VOR as a kind hearted, generous, warm, and God fearing individual always ready to give out a helping hand. He was an accomplished person in the field of medicine and infection control. May the Almighty keep him in paradise.

A service will be held commemorating The celebration of his life at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Saturday 7th October at 6 PM. All are invited.

DENISE THOMPSON

St. Paul’s church – Kuwait sadly notes the passing away (07/05/2023) of Denise Thompson wife of Rupert Thompson. St.Paul’s Church – Kuwait sends condolences to the bereaved family. The Thompsons were active members of this congregation while at Kuwait. We particularly remember her selfless contribution towards this church’s children’s ministry. May the good Lord keep her in everlasting peace.
